Special Features

  • TIG WELDING - This welding lens is not recommended for TIG welding due to its inability to recharge with it. TIG gives off very little light, not enough for the welding lens' solar array to charge. If TIG welding change batteries often
  • AUTO DARKENING - Auto darkening welding lenses are a superior experience to passive welding lenses and welding glass. Keep your welding hood down and see where you strike your arc and keep from damaging expensive or sensitive material.
  • GOLD COATING - This gold welding lens coating will make everything viewed through it blue tinted. This is because it cuts out the Infrared end of the spectrum. both giving a cool experience and also keeping your eyes protected.
  • MANY SHADES - This adjustable welding lens goes from shade 5 to 13, better than the standard 9-13 of most adjustable welding lenses. so it can even be used on plasma torches or acetylene cutting torches
  • SOLAR ARRAY - This welding lens has a built in solar array, which is used to recharge itself. Consistent usage will keep the batteries charged and ready for use. If it spend a long time in storage, leave in sun to recharge 30 minutes before welding
  • COMPATIBILITY - This auto darkening welding lens is the standard 2”x4.25”, so it is compatible with most welding hoods, welding masks, and some welding goggles, but due to its thickness, it may require modification to fit
  • PROCESSES - This welding lens is best for SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and plasma cutting. TIG at your own risk. SMAW, or also knwon as stick welding will be the most helpful process to use, so that you can see where you strike your arc.
  • EXCHANGABLE BATTERIES - If welding lens is unused for long periods of time, and loses its charge, then its easy to just swap out the CR1025 batteries for new ones. The batteries will recharge and last a long time if consistently used
  • SENSITIVITY - This welding lens has adjustable sensitivity, so you can keep lens from flashing in the sun, or better protect your eyes from arc flash.
  • FAST DARKENING - Industry leading ultra fast auto darkening time of 1/25,000th will keep your eyes safe from arc flash and keep you safely on task without having to worry about your welding lens
