Special Features

  • Calcium Hydroxide podwer: Commonly known as hydrated lime, slaked lime.
  • Appearance: white powdery solid with alkali taste and slightly bitter taste. CAS NO.: 1305-62-0, MF: Ca(OH); MW: 74.096;PH=12.4.
  • Slightly soluble in water. Calcium hydroxide is strongly alkaline with a pH value of 12.4. Soluble in glycerin, hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, and a saturated solution of sucrose, insoluble in ethanol.
  • Food grade calcium hydroxide is often used as an acidity regulator (PH regulator), moderator, neutralizer, and curing agent; it can be used as a coagulant for making konjac food.
  • Calcium hydroxide can be used in rubber and petrochemical additives, such as added to lubricating oil in the petroleum industry, to prevent coking and sludge deposition; calcium hydroxide is alkaline and can be used to reduce the acidity of the soil, thereby improving the soil structure.
