Most factory bikes come with this similar style case saver, the blaster came without one. This is a needed product to save your engine, as most of you with cracked engines already know. Theirs a built in fail safe. Aluminum is soft, it will spit the chain out as it should but if for any reason it gets caught up, the plate can bend. Controversy then arose that the bolt will snap. the longer case bolt provided in the kits is only to fit the aluminum that holds the which will bend. That tab connects to an aluminum spacer tube.
