This SMC KDMS-04 socket is one half of a plug and socket-type connector for securely joining 4 mm outside diameter (OD) nylon, soft nylon, and polyurethane tubing. The plug and socket halves of a connector are inserted into a SMC KDM series two-part case that allows connection and disconnection of all the tubes in a single action. The polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) body resists corrosion, and the connector has a maximum operating pressure of 145 pounds per square inch (psi) and an operating temperature range of -5 to +60 degrees C. This socket is suitable for use in joining tubes through a panel or partition for quick disconnection, such as with pneumatic test equipment and a test panel.
