1.Always Wash Hands Before Pumping or Handling Breast Milk - Ensure hygiene by washing hands thoroughly prior to using the breast pump or touching breast milk.
2.Warm Compress and Massage Before Pumping - Use a warm towel to compress the breasts and massage around the areola to stimulate and unblock milk ducts before pumping.
3.Pump at Comfortable Pressure; Stop if Painful - Pump milk at a pressure that feels comfortable. If you experience pain in the breast or nipple, stop pumping.
4.Limit Pumping to 80% Capacity and 20 Minutes - Aim to pump only about 80% of your milk capacity and not exceed 20 minutes per session.
5.Store Breast Milk in Covered Containers - Use containers with lids for storing breast milk to maintain hygiene and freshness.
6.Discard Breast Milk Stored Over 72 Hours - Remove and discard any breast milk that has been refrigerated for more than 72 hours (3 days).
