Sedimentary rocks are formed by the deposition and compression of particles of other rocks and minerals. This introductory kit contains twelve different sedimentary rocks - Breccia, Bituminous Coal, Conglomerate, Dolostone, Greywacke, Gray Limestone, Limestone Chalk, Fossiliferous Limestone, Coquina, Olitic Limestone, White/Tan Limestone and Red Sandstone. While each specimen will vary in shape and size, they will measure approximately 1" each.
