The Thunderbirds are the USAF Air Demonstration Squadron and have been entertaining people for over 65 years. The squadron was formed in 1953 using the straight wing F-84 Thunderjet. Then they transitioned to the swept wing F-84F because it had excellent cruising characteristics and predictable handling. In addition to the Thunderbirds, the F-84F was sold to many countries around the world. It even saw service during the Cold War. This Revell model kit is Revell item #85-5996. The kit consists of 75 parts and is 1:48 scale. Completed model measures approximately Length: 11.00", Wingspan: 8.375". Kit is molded in light gray and clear. Paint and glue required(not included). Recommended for ages 12 and up.
