The PRO Bent Steering Axle from Pinewood Pro has a slight 1.5 degree bend with an Easy Turn screw driver slot cut in the head for easy turning without damaging the axle. This bend will steer your wheel left or right to make your car steer straight or steer gently into the rail for a rail rider.
Getting your derby car to steer straight is a critical speed adjustment and it is the most challenging thing to accomplish. I have personally spent hours tweaking my son's cars so it steers straight. If your car does not steer straight, the wheels hit the guide rails, causing your car to lose valuable speed.
The PRO Steering Axle is made from our PRO Super Speed grooved and nickel plated axle.
USAGE:
Replace one of your front axles with the PRO Steering Axle oriented so the screwdriver slot is vertical (straight up and down).
Gently turn the axle with a screw driver to make that wheel steer left or right until your car rolls straight for 6 to 8 feet.

It's as easy as that! You can also use the steering axle to create a Rail Rider car.

IMPORTANT NOTES: You only need a slight 1.5 degree bend to steer your wheels. THE 1.5 DEGREE BEND IS A VERY SLIGHT BEND THAT YOU CAN NOT SEE WITH THE NAKED EYE. However, if you roll the bent axle on a flat surface, you will see that it does not roll smoothly compared to an unbent axle.
