Special Features

  • TAMANU SKIN BENEFITS: Tamanu naturally has omega fatty acids and antioxidant properties. It's great for skin regeneration, reduce the appearance of dark spots, helps repair skin cells caused by free radicals, and promote collagen production. Tamanu has high fat content to keep skin moisturized. TAMANU HAIR BENEFITS: Tamanu oil can be used on hair for conditioning and strengthening.
  • TAMANU OIL EXTRACTION: 1) Our seeds are dried to specification 2) Inner seeds/kernels are separated from shell/husk 3) Screw Press (cold press) the kernels for extraction 4) Run through filter press to remove kernel particles 5) Sent to Quality Control Laboratory for approval 6) Product gets filled then sent back to Qualify Control for final analyzation and approval 7) Tamanu Oil is packed and labeled. OVERALL: It's cold pressed, 100% virgin, and organic.
  • TAMANU ORIGIN: Our tamanu oil is extracted from the seed of the Polynesian Tamanu Nut Tree. It comes from Vanuatu Islands which is located in the South Pacific Ocean (neighbor countries are Fiji Islands, New Zealand, and Australia). The trees are grown in the coastal area on organic sandy soils. It is an evergreen tree which means they keep their leaves year-round.
  • TAMANU CURATION: Tamanu kernels can take 1-2 months to dry (curation process). After the curation process is completed, it is cold pressed to extract the oil. When the oil is black, the curation process was sped up by overheating the seeds on high heat. Overheated tamanu oil may start to lose its beneficial components.
  • GLASS NOT PLASTIC: Our oil comes in a glass bottle to prevent chemical release from plastic. The jar is clear/frosted because we believe consumers should see the color of the product to determine the quality. Plant-based oils can vary in color due to climates. For example, we've seen Tamanu oil was lighter in from the spring crops and darker from the winter crops. Tamanu oil can be yellow, green, or brownish but NOT black. Black Tamanu oil was overheated to speed up the curation process.
