TotalBoat Milled Glass Fibers are short, finely ground strands of fiberglass, ground to a powder consistency. Working with epoxy resin, polyester resin, or vinylester resin? Milled Glass Fibers add additional strength, ideal for structural fillets, bonding, and filling gaps. Add cabosil (silica thickener) to prevent sagging.
Tips: Always mix a small trial batch of resin and additives to fine tune viscosity, and to assess any impact to epoxy working properties (pot life). When measuring or mixing, first mix resin and hardener, then add milled glass fiber and any other fillers or bulking agents. Then mix, always stirring from the bottom to the top. Always wear proper safety protection when working with epoxy resin and fillers / additives. Be sure to wash your hands and any exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water afterwards. Compare to West System 402 filler, System Three White Milled Glass, Fasco, and others. All TotalBoat products are formulated for great results and great value. When it comes to epoxy, we know what works.
