✮ Clip the alligator clips onto one end of the ground wire (e.g. automotive metal or negative pole).
✮ Put the tip of the test probe in contact with the line that needs to test the voltage (e.g. conductive metal).
✮ When the circuit tester is energized, it will display the current voltage, while the indicator light is on; when the digital display does not work and the indicator light is not on, it means that the line is not on.
