Special Features

  • Each Circuit Breaker comes with two 4 AWG copper wire lugs with 1/4" holes, two 10mm heat shrink tubes (one red, one black), two 1" stainless steel self-tapping sheet metal hex-head screws with rubber padded metal washers, two rubber washers and 4 copper washers. The hardware is designed to allow the circuit breaker to be attached to a sheet metal surface, although wood screws (not included in this kit) can be used with the copper washers if necessary to attach to a wood or fiberglass substrate.
  • These circuit breakers are an excellent way to protect you car, truck, boat or RV's DC accessories in the event of a short circuited or overloaded condition. When tripped, this DC breaker will remove power to the circuit & place itself in a visibly noticeable "tripped" condition, but can easily be reset by manually flipping the red reset lever back into the dc circuit breaker housing. It is a resettable fuse that can also by manually "tripped" by depressing the red button on top of the breaker.
  • This 100 amp breaker is an auto or marine circuit breaker that can also be used as a power disconnect switch. It is an excellent solution for placing between a battery and 100 Amp Accessory, to use as an amp disconnect switch, as a main 100 amp marine circuit breaker, as a car amp fuse, or simply as a DC 100 amp circuit breaker. This is a 12-48 volt DC (Direct Current) fuse breaker & CANNOT be used IN ANY AC (Alternate Current) OR HOUSEHOLD APPLICATION.
  • Be sure to consult your owner's manual when being used for your trolling motor plug and receptacle. Typically a 100 amp fuse is used on 12V trolling motors with 30, 40, or 45 lbs of thrust, 24V trolling motors with 70 lbs of thrust, & 36V trolling motors with no more than 100 lbs of thrust. A pair of 6 AWG copper lugs are included in this kit, but please verify that a AWG gauge trolling motor wire will be thick enough to handle your specific volt trolling motor plug.
  • Always consult a 12-48V DC wiring specialist if you are unsure about how to determine what type (this is a DC), amp (this is a 100A), and volt circuit breaker you require for your vehicle & vehicle accessories. A 1-300 amp circuit tester can be used to determine the draw of an accessory during initial, peak, and normal operation of the accessory, but this inline breaker is not a substitute for a sound professional installation. Always consult a professional before installation.
