Akiles Duowire elements (aka: Twin Loop wire, Wire-O, Wire Bind, Double Loop) binding spines are available in sizes from 3/16-inch to 1-1/2-inch diameter. Standard duowire is available in 2:1 or 3:1 pitches (2 or 3 loops per inch).
Please make sure you know which pitch your wire binding machine is capable of prior to ordering. There's nothing more frustrating than receiving the wrong pitch spines when you have a deadline to bind a project.
There are currently 5 colors available in most sizes: Black, White, Blue, Red & Silver.Akiles metal binding spines are fully compatible with all 2 to 1 and 3 to 1 pitch wire binding machines including models from Akiles, USI, GBC, Ibico, NSC, Tamerica, Fellowes, and HIC.
Akiles double loop wire binding spines provide a permanent binding solution that allows pages to lay flat (unlike staples or clips), making your presentations, reports, calendars, sketchbooks and documents professional in appearance and usage. Also, pages can be folded back to back for easy reference and note taking.

TIPS: Akiles wires can easily be cut with wire cutters to accommodate books with spines smaller than 11-inches long, then can be used with binding machines that have disengaging pins or open ends.
Most users prefer the 3:1 pitch for thinner booklets and 2:1 for thicker ones (over 9/16-inch).
