  • Fine Cut = Precision cut or visually imitates a precision cut. These stones have equal and symmetrical faceting with proper cutting angles ("critical angle') and depth. Depth is between 60% and 70% of size listed. Size can vary +-0.1mm. 2-3mm (millimeter) gems are very small - less than 1/8 inch.
  • AAA = eye clean, any inclusions will not be visible to the eye. Smaller sizes will have progressively less color saturation than photo (7mm).

Description

These gems are created Corundum meant to imitate the color change effect of an Alexandrite. There is some variation in the colors on both sides of the color change and lighting will drastically affect the look. These gems are created by the Flame Fusion process and have essentially the same physical properties as natural Sapphire. Our gems are calibrated for easy design for the artist and use in standard settings by the jeweler, goldsmith or silversmith.
