The Youngmodeler Optimist Dinghy Wooden Model Kit allows you to construct and personalize your very own mini yacht. This kit is based on the iconic Optimist Dinghy, originally designed by Clark Mills in 1947 for children. With its relatively wide width, it offers exceptional stability, making it an ideal choice for young sailors-in-training.

Before you explore the completed photos of the Optimist Dinghy, please note that this is not a pre-assembled product, but a wooden assembly kit. The kit does not come pre-painted, providing you the opportunity to unleash your creativity and personalize the colors to your liking.

The Optimist Dinghy Model Kit includes all the necessary components for assembly, including a detailed instruction manual, assembly kit, mast, sprit, boom, daggerboard securing rod, extension pole with handle, sail rope bundle, sprit halyard, sail halyard, mainsheet, Optimist logo, and adhesive.

While the kit includes a 4g wood adhesive, we recommend using instant adhesive for secure bonding.

Caution!
Please note that this product is a Wooden Model Kit, that requires assembly.

This kit requires a knife and adhesive for assembly (sold separately).

When detaching the parts, do not apply excessive force as they may break. (Using a knife to gently press the connecting parts will easily separate them)

The Model Kit comes unpainted and does not include any coloring tools. If coloring, it is recommended to paint before assembly.

Use adhesive for stability after assembly (adhesive sold separately).
