Description

TotalBoat DIY Epoxy Black Marble Effect Countertop Kits are an easy, affordable way to update the counter, bar and table tops in your home, making them look like expensive, exotic black marble. Ideal for giving your kitchen or bath a sleek, modern look. Kits contain almost everything you need to create a faux finish black marbling effect on a wood, laminate, butcher block, ceramic tile, cultured marble, or granite countertop that needs a makeover. Once you learn this simple technique to create the sinewy silver veins and gray marbling that are the hallmark of glossy black marble, you can use it on bar tops, coffee tables, bathroom counters, kitchen islands, bar tops and more! Just figure out how much epoxy you need, gather additional items, and make your beautiful black marble top!
To Calculate How Much Epoxy You Need: Measure the area to be covered with epoxy: Multiply the Length x Width X Depth to estimate the volume in cubic inches. 1 qt. mixed epoxy = 57.75 cu. in.; 2 qts. mixed epoxy = 115.5 cu. in.; 3 qts. mixed epoxy = 173.25 cu. in.; and 1 gal. mixed epoxy = 231 cu. in.
You'll Also Need: A countertop surface, plastic sheeting to protect your work area, sandpaper (80-220 grit, depending on your surface) and proper personal protection.
TotalBoat TableTop Epoxy Resin and Hardener are crystal clear, and provide the truest color when mixed with TotalBoat Black Pigment Dispersion for the marble top. TableTop has a simple 1:1 mix ratio by volume, and self-levels for a perfect finish. Always wear proper personal protection and have adequate ventilation when working with and sanding epoxy.
These DIY project-ready kits come in two sizes and include TotalBoat TableTop Epoxy Resin & Hardener, mica powder tints for marbling & veins, black opaque pigment, mixing cups, stir sticks, plastic spreaders (4” x 2-3/4”), chip brushes & heat gun.
Professional-grade TotalBoat kits are a great value, and are 100% made in the USA.
