The color is a gorgeous deep grey (considered black) and has a sparkle of mica that gives it lustrous sheen! Each package is a mix of 1/8" to 1/4" stone (may be slightly above or below this range)

  • This gravel pairs perfectly with our larger stone that come in sizes from 1 to 10 inches for a cohesive, natural scene. As a natural stone, there may be some white or brown surface discoloration mixed in. These beautiful variations add a natural uniqueness and interest to the substrate
  • We offer three different sizes of small scale gravel to choose from; 1/8"-1/4" (this listing) , Coarse sand (1/32" to 1/8") and 1/4-1/2". We like to mix these for an even more realistic scene! Check them out!
  • CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS for aquariums - Even though it has been washed, this substrate will arrive quite dusty due to shipping and handling. This is normal for this stone. Be sure to wash this gravel repeatedly, in water ONLY, until water is clear (or mostly clear). It is common for dust to float on the surface during rinsing and filling. Place cleaned gravel in your empty tank (no water), and decorate the tank before adding water.
