Description

🦅LEARNING THROUGH PLAY🦅

Science teachers, parents, grandparents - rejoice. Here's a fun and classic way to teach young explorers about gravity, magnetism, and balance. Kids will get a kick experimenting with this balancing bird. Hold your fingertip under its beak, and watch it "fly." It holds up admirably on any hard and stationary object like a desk, a bookshelf, or a book. Watch them see if they can keep the bird "in-flight" on their fingertips as they walk around. Use it as an excellent opportunity to discuss center of gravity. Weigh down the wings with small objects, and teach them about magnetism and balance.
Here's why you'll love this toy:
Well-Made and Durable
These toys are built for kids (although adults will get a kick out of them too). We understand how enthusiastic kids have accidents. Teach the kids about rotational inertia. Have a child balance the bird on a pencil above their head. Then have the child turn 360 degrees. The bird will remain in the same orientation due to inertia. This exercise will probably result in the kid turning faster and faster to dislodge the inertia - and the bird will fall. That's okay. It's so well-built, it can handle the impact.
It's a Classic Toy
What a great stocking stuffer, party giveaway, or present for the entire graduating class! Although this bird is ideally for kids 5 years old and up, adults will enjoy experimenting with them, too. After all, our version is a remake of an old classic. Some traditions will never die.
It's Low Maintenance
No noise. No whirligigs. No batteries required. Just a beautifully-crafted plastic eagle with magnets on either side of its 7.5" wingspan. If it feels lopsided, tape a penny or a magnet to the wing and watch the center of gravity adjust. Get the kids to experiment with different objects to learn more about physics and science!
