This a commonly used part for this 6 cyl 3.6L engine series and they always seem to snap during oil change. You have to pull the old cartridge straight out from the cap, or you will damage the upper portion of the filter housing. Even pulling it straight out sometimes damages it. so you need this redesigned aluminium oil filter cap.
