Special Features
Cobalt steel tools are similar to high-speed steel, but with more cobalt for improved performance when cutting harder metals such as stainless steel or nickel alloys
Gold oxide is a thinner oxide surface treatment than black oxide typically used to identify cobalt steel tools; performance is similar to uncoated tools
Round shanks allow use with a wide variety of toolholding systems
Straight flute tools allow chips to collect in the flutes as they cut and are well suited for most applications in shallow cuts
Designed for accurate reaming in most materials using all types of equipment including screw machines, turret lathes, drill presses and machining centers
Description
Drill America DWRRCO Series Cobalt Chucking Reamers are designed for accurate reaming in most materials using all types of equipment including screw machines, turret lathes, drill presses, and machining centers. They are regularly pointed with a 45º chamfer. The straight-flute design is recommended for most general purpose reaming. The right-hand spiral-flute reamer has the smooth, chatter-free action necessary for fine finishes. It is recommended over the straight-flute for more difficult materials, better surface requirements, and applications with an interruption such as a keyway or cross hole.
