Equate Omeprazole and Sodium Bicarbonate Capsules are a daily remedy for frequent heartburn that occurs 2 or more days per week. The active ingredients are omeprazole 20 mg, an acid reducer, and sodium bicarbonate 1100 mg which enables absorption of the omeprazole. The capsule should be taken once a day for a 14-day treatment course. It may take 1 to 4 days to see full effect, but it effectively stops acid production at the source. This product is not intended for immediate relief of heartburn. To avoid heartburn triggers, such as spicy and fatty foods, eat slowly and in smaller portions.
