Description

Fuel Petcock Valve Gas Tank Switch
➤Replaces OEM#: 16950-MEG-023
➤Fitment:
for Honda VT750C Shadow Aero 750 2007 2008 2009
for Honda VT750CA ABS Shadow Aero 750 2009
for Honda VT750C2 Shadow Spirit 750 2007 2008 2009
➤Material:
Made of high quality aluminum and metal for stablity and reliability to allow for smooth operation for years to come.
➤Installation:
1. Drain the fuel tank - with the valve closed, remove the fuel line connected to it. Install a filter in the funnel and then open the oil valve to drain the oil from the fuel tank.
2. Remove the old valve - use a socket wrench to unscrew the "hole collector" at the bottom of the oil valve, and then use pliers to remove the inner screen and O-ring. This will expose the screw that secures the oil valve to the water tank. Be careful not to lose the screws. Use a toothbrush to clean the tank opening.
3. Install a new fuel switch valve - install the new oil valve just to remove it. Instead, remove the bottom, screen and O-ring, place the oil valve in place and fix the screw, then replace the screen with pliers and O-rings. Tighten the bottom and tighten with a wrench. Inject some fuel into the new valve for testing.
4. Reinstall the fuel tank on the motorcycle and reconnect the fuel line to the output of the new oil valve.
➤Note:
The standard fuel valve has two positions: open and closed. Some fuel valves have a reserve function. The mesh filter of the reserve faucet has a small tube that is higher than the bottom of the fuel tank. If you put the fuel valve in the ON position while cycling, and when your gasoline runs out, you only need to transfer the fuel valve to the reserve position, then use the remaining gasoline in the tank to reach the next gas station. Fuel it up.
