Description

This is an Academy 1/48 scale plastic model kit of a P-40C "Tomahawk" that the US supplied to Great Britain, France, China, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and Russia and they served as a workhorse during WWII over whole battle field. The P-40C Tomahawk (as the company called No.Hawk 81A-2/3) is an early model of P-40 series and the when it was exported, it was called the Mk.II B. Its first flight was done on April 10, 1941. It was equipped with a new, larger fuel system and new radio equipment which grately expanded its fighting range. This precision Academy kit is very easy to build and includes a detailed cockpit and landing gear, fully engraved panel lines, choice of finishing as one of two "Flying Tigers" aircraft used in China and Burma during WWII, and flown by Squadron Leader Robert H. Neale, 1st PS "Adam and Eves", AVG, June 1942, or Charles Older, 3rd PS "Hells Angels", AVG, May, 1942. landing gear can be modeled up or down.
