WELDING FOR WELL-BEING
Low-Manganese Product Line Rutile, Cellulosic & Basic Coated Metal Arc Welding Electrodes with Reduced Emission of Manganese
Any experienced welder knows that manganese (Mn) is a very important and essential alloying element in steel. Together with carbon, Mn is responsible for the hardness and strength of steel and significantly improves its plasticity and toughness.
As good as Mn is for steel, it is even worse as a health hazard when it evaporates while welding, causing high concentrations of Mn compounds in the work area of the welder and other workers.
Over the last few decades, international hygienic regulations have been significantly reducing the allowed exposure level to Mn compounds. This is the reason for the push to develop a revolutionary solution to reduce precarious Mn compound emissions during welding.
The Weldcote Metals Low-Manganese welding electrodes have a unique flux composition that supplies weld metal with a significantly lower manganese content in comparison with regular electrodes. The new electrodes fulfill the required mechanical properties and the requirements of international standards. Our welding electrode product line consists of 7018 welding rod 1/8, 7018 welding rod 3/32, 6013 welding rod 3/32, 6011 welding rod 3/32, 6013 welding rod 1/8, 6011 welding rods 1/8, and more.
