Special Features

  • [Silica gel Crystals <1 Millimeter] - Less pressure on fresh flowers. Compared with other drying methods, the shape and texture of flowers can be better preserved. Without CoCl2, safe and non-toxic, these products are especially suitable for beginners in DIY dried flower crafts.
  • [Easy to use] - Using silica gel desiccant crystals is very simple. Just put the fresh flowers or plant materials into the included airtight container, cover them with enough silica gel crystals, and then wait for them to dry. Dried flowers and plant materials can be kept for a long time to use for collections, storage and decoration.
  • [Humidity Indicator] - 10% of the dried flower sands are orange colored humidity indicator silica gel crystals, 90% are transparent silica gel beads. When the orange crystals absorb saturated moisture, the color will change to dark green, so you can easily know when the desiccant needs to be recharged or replaced.
  • [Reusable] - Silica gel can be reactivated by placing it on flat metal plates and heating it in the oven (oven: 200°F to 250°F for 0.5 to 1 hour; microwave oven: defrost mode for 7 to 10 minutes) until all green crystals turn orange again. The recharging process may be shorter or longer depending on the amount of silica gel.
  • [Ideal Choice for Drying Flowers] - Silica gel desiccant crystals are the ideal method for preserving fresh flowers and other delicate items (such as wedding flowers and funeral roses). It is especially suitable for resin flower art and craft projects.
  • [Extra Gift] - We have also included a small brush and sticky notes as an extra gift, which will help you remove the remaining particles on the flowers and record the time and type of flowers you stored.

Description

Supplies Needed:

Step 1: Place a layer of silica gel desiccant on the bottom of an airtight container. Then process the flowers by removing rotten petals, cutting off long branches, and leaving 3-5 cm long flower branches.

Step 2: Place the cut flowers on the silica gel to dry. Flat flowers can be placed with the petal facing down, long flowers can be placed sideways.

Step 3: Carefully pour the remaining desiccant into the surrounding area using a small cup, covering the center of the flower and gently filling each petal, being careful not to deform the flower.

Step 4: Seal the container and store it in a cool and dry place for 3-7 days to check if the petals are dry. The drying time varies depending on the flower type.
