Sandals are a type of footwear that evolved from primitive wrappings and became the first footwear in the history of mankind because of their simple construction. Sandals have been around since ancient civilizations, and their construction was mostly in the form of "straps or cords tied around the soles". As time passed and society progressed, sandals not only developed artistically, but also evolved into a variety of complex styles.
