Description

Value-Shield Excel line of Eye Shields are an equivalent disposable eye shield lens to the deroyal speyes eye shieldz line. These disposable eye shield lenses snap-on to the speyes style disposable eye shield frames typically sold under item numbers 23-502. The frames are NOT included with this product. Designed to be lightweight for added comfort, for use in situations which may involve splashing or spraying of blood or other potentially infectious material typically found in Dental and Medical procedures. Eye splashes are the #1 cause of non-sharp blood and body fluid exposure (EPINet Report for Blood and Body Fluid Exposures, Reporting period: Jan 01, 2015 to Dec 31, 2015.) Made in the USA. Value-Shield Eye Shields have been used for years to protect Doctors, Nurses, Dentists, Surgeons, Hygenists and other medical professionals as part of their infection prevention and PPE protocols. These optically clear disposable eye shield lenses are conveniently packaged in a small dispenser box. Used for over 20 years by Doctors, Dentists, Surgeons, Hygenists, Food Service, Hair Stylists and more for Non-Impact splash and splatter protection. -Disposable eyewear reduces the risk of infection when compared with reusable safety glasses. -Bolsters OSHA compliance (3) -Recommended by NIOSH and CDC -CDC recommends eye protection in all health care settings and when caring for all patients regardless of infection status -Prevents eye splatter from blood and other fluids. Most blood exposures in healthcare settings are preventable with proper PPE -Disposable eyewear providing full frontal and lateral coverage are effective in preventing eye splatter -The incidence of eye splatter among healthcare providers working in nonsurgical areas is more common than previously assumed because of the lack of recognition of splatter (subclinical splatter) by workers -Prescription glasses are unsuitable for use as the sole source of eye protection from blood splash injury -Blood splash injury may occur without knowledge of the event
