Application General Guidelines: *Process may be messy
*Note: The polishing powder may strip certain glass coatings such as oleophobic coatings and is primarily meant for minor surface scratches. It will not fix cracks, deep pits, or deeper glass damage.
1) Clean the glass surface & Prepare the Slurry: Mix the Cerium Oxide Polishing Powder with your preferred level of water (around 85-100 degrees F) to make a paste or slurry. The more water added, the weaker the strength.
2) Prepare a source of water. The cerium oxide polishing powder slurry may become dry and hot during and after the process, which can cause the glass to crack. A spray bottle is recommended.
3) Use a damp felt, cloth, foam, or other polishing pad to apply the polish slurry to the glass. Felt is recommended. A drill attachment or oscillating tool may be used. *Keep in mind that a consistent but not intense pressure is key to the process, and high speeds may scatter the slurry from the target surface and also be less energy efficient.
4) The time it takes to remove the scratch(es) depends on the depth of the scratch, glass type, and the efficiency of the application process.
5) This process may be repeated if necessary. Glass may be warm/hot after finishing.
Safety: Avoid inhalation & eye contact.
Packaging: Heat Seal-able bag (weight 8g); total product weight should be ~463g, 462g min.
