Thuja (Thuja Occidentalis) is an evergreen coniferous slow growing tree 12–20 (up to 38) meters high, with a compact pyramidal or ovoid crown. The bark of young trees is smooth, reddish-brown, later gray-brown. The needles are green, brownish-green or brown in winter. The wood is sound, reddish, relatively soft, very strong, without resinous passages.
