what is the carbon film resistor?
Carbon film resistor is made of carbon ink, graphite and fillers in a suspension coated with an organic binder on an insulating substrate, and then heated and polymerized. The gaseous hydrocarbons are decomposed at high temperature and in vacuum, and the carbon is deposited on the porcelain rod or tube, forming a crystalline carbon film. Different resistance values can be obtained by changing the thickness of the carbon film and changing the length of the carbon film by grooving.
Functions & Features :
Excellent long-term stability, minimal effect of voltage changes on resistance, and has a negative temperature coefficient.
Good high-frequency characteristics, can be made into high-frequency resistors and ultra-high-frequency resistors, the inherent noise electromotive force is small, below 10UV/V.
The pulse load is stable and the adaptability to the pulse is good. The range of applications is very wide, suitable for AC, DC and pulse circuits.
