White oak (Quercus alba) is a large deciduous tree reaching 50-80 ft.in height. Leaves are oblong-oval, 12-20 cm long. They are pink in spring, matures to dark green and turns russet-red in the fall. A feature of this species is its wide crown, the branches of which are widely spread and run parallel to the ground. The bark is light gray.
