All Mini's are not the same ! I have seen some forum comments where some buyers believe that a lot of effects come from the exact same manufacture with just rebranded logos. While this may be true in very limited limited cases, it is not the norm and all effects are "not" the same either in either build quality, components or tonal responses. TONE CITY has achieved quick acclaim on the market as a company to watch and their line is creating quite a stir. These are very nice sounding units and basically hand built. Tone City Bad Horse Overdrive Pedal The Bad Horse gets it's inspiration from prior well known stomps and it's tonal response and is both powerful and direct. May have to do your own research here, but assume you will know where this mini is coming with regard to tonal intent. A real strong response, while keeping the notes clean in the mix and does not muddy or wash out. The little units are some of the best out there along with a great entry price. The Bad Horse Overdrive offers simple but effective controls for Tone Volume and Gain. Real nice unit from Tone City and this entire lineup does not disappoint!
