This stainless steel worms should be used with 24 tooth brass worm gears. The combination of this stainless steel worm and 24 tooth brass worm gears creates a very compact, high torsion and robust 24:1 gear reduction ratio.
This stainless steel worms greatly increases the contact between more shafts and the surface of the center hole, which greatly increases the clamping force and pressing area, thereby providing greater supporting force to resist heavy radial loads.
The modulus of the worm is 1.5, and the center hole is a 6mm(0.2in) D‑shaped hole to match our 6mm D‑shaped shaft and motor output shaft. The 6mm D‑shaped hole produces a positive drive, and the center hole length reaches 39mm(1.5in).
The combination is self locking and can realize reverse self locking, that is, only the worm can drive the worm wheel, but the worm wheel cannot drive the worm, so that the motor does not need to continue to apply torsion to maintain the load.
The stainless steel worm can handle heavy torsion loads without worrying about rounding or slipping of the shaft and hole, and can stably transmit the torsion generated by the gear motor to the output shaft, providing strong and stable power.
