D-mannose sourced naturally from birch bark, has a distinctive flavor. Authentic birch D-mannose offers a blend of sweet and slightly bitter tastes simultaneously due to the differing structures α and β of the D-mannose molecules. The sweet flavour arises from the α-form, while the bitter undertone is from the β-form. Most enjoy the natural taste of D-Mannose from birch bark, but if the taste isn't for you, powders can be mixed with tea or juice and tablets swallowed whole.
