Description

■about "KIKI-WAKOU"
· In Japan, there is a beautiful ceremony called Kou-do, which began in the Muromachi period (1336-1573) to enjoy fragrance. (Kou-do = traditional incense-smelling ceremony )
"Koudo" originally had solemn manners like tea ceremony and calligraphy, but "KIKI-WAKOU" was invented so that it could be enjoyed casually in a modern way.
The fragrance represents the four seasons of Japan and places such as forests and oceans, and offers an oriental aroma.
· Please enjoy the elegant and comfortable new culture of "listening" to fragrance.

■History of KOUSAIDOU

The company was started with the wish to "bring a little moisture and healing to the daily life" of people living in today's hectic society. We deliver spiritual richness through fragrance.

■MESSAGE - Our Thoughts -
We want to cherish those moments when the things we casually hold in our hands are tasteful and create a sense of conversation and relaxation.
It is our wish to convey to the present day through fragrances the texture and sophistication of Kyoto's traditions.

■PERFUMER - Thoughts on Fragrance -
The culture of "incense" was brought to Japan with the arrival of Buddhism.
Not only as an offering to the Buddha, but also to purify the place, to enjoy the fragrance, to invite meditation, or to imagine a person by the lingering fragrance, it has been integrated into daily life in various ways depending on the era, and has been inherited as a unique traditional culture that Japan can be proud of.

■Incense Usage and Precautions
· Light only one end of incense and gently blow out the flame for smoldering. Always place the burning incense securely in or onto an appropriate heat resistant and non flammable burner or holder with ash catcher.
· Because ash falling outside of the burner could be hot enough to cause a hazard, make sure all incense ash falls on a fireproof surface. Keep both unlit and burning incense out of reach of children, pets and any other innocent curiosity.
· Avoid storing the incense under high temperature, high humidity or direct sunshine. Take proper fire safety precautions and never leave burning incense unattended.
· Make sure all the spent incenses and ash are completely extinguished and cold to touch before discarding because they may still be burning without smoke. Position burning incense burner on stable flat surface and keep it away from drapes, open windows or any other drafty areas.
