It is a selector for multiple audio signal sources in a home audio system, suitable for L/R channel equipment. The speaker may make a "pop" sound when switching. This problem is not related to the switch. It is related to the DC potential difference between the front-end and back-end of the switch. Whether it is pure DC coupling or capacitive isolation, as long as there is a potential difference, there will be a "pop" sound, and the size of the sound is proportional to the potential difference. Neither mechanical switching nor relay switching is immune. The relay closing time is short and the impact pulse is sharper. Well-designed front and rear panels make switching noise inaudible. If you encounter this problem, you can set the power amplifier tone to '0' or switch the power amplifier off and on again after switching.
