RG-6 CATV Cable from Blue Jeans Cable, Duofoil/AL Braid Shielded, 50 foot
Our RG-6 coaxial cable is suited for a wide range of applications, including interconnection of home theater devices, drops from terrestrial or satellite antennas or CATV entry points, and the like. We assemble these cables using Belden 9116 cable and tight, reliable Thomas and Betts compression connectors.
Belden: Superb Dimensional and Electrical Consistency
75 ohm coaxial cable looks simple -- but RF signals are sensitive to small impedance variations, caused by inconsistencies in a cable's internal dimensions. We've handled millions of feet of Belden cable in our Seattle shop; its dimensional and electrical consistency is superb, and that means cleaner, more reliable signal transmission with low loss.
Shielding: Double-layered foil PLUS braid
Under the aluminum braid shield is a layer of Belden Duofoil, two foil layers bound to opposite sides of a mylar tape with a shorting fold for 100% shield coverage. The braid shield completes the picture, adding effectiveness at lower frequencies and reducing resistance to ground at all points along the way.
UL-Listed and In-Wall Rated
This cable is rated CATV and CM (higher than CL2) under the National Electrical Code, making it lawful to install in NEC jurisdictions, unlike many of the imported coaxes available online.
Assembled in the USA by American Workers
Most coaxial cable assemblies sold in stores or online are Chinese imports. We assemble these cables in our own manufacturing shop in Seattle, Washington, along with a wide variety of cabling products for audio, video and data.
