ADD MORE DEVICES TO YOUR NETWORK – With 16 10/100Mbps PoE+ ports and 2 Combo Gigabit SFP slots, the DES-1018MPV2 is a versatile switch that's perfect for small to medium business applications.
EXTEND THE REACH OF YOUR ETHERENET AND POE - For longer reach applications where you need to extend your Ethernet or PoE range, ports 9-16 can be set to Extend Mode for up to 250m data and power transmission.
ISOLATION MODE - With Isolation Mode enabled, you can limit ports 1-16 to only communicate with uplink ports, isolating each port from each other.
POWER POE DEVICES - High PoE power budget with up to 30W for each PoE port and 247W for all PoE ports allows users to easily connect and supply power to PoE-capable devices such as wireless access points (APs), network cameras and IP phones.
EASY SETUP AND RELIABLE PERFORMANCE - Plug and Play and easy to use with no configuration required. The DES-1018MPV2 features great build quality and is backed by D-Link's Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Description
The D-Link DES-1018MPV2 18-Port 10/100 Unmanaged PoE Switch enables users to easily connect and supply power to PoE-capable devices such as wireless Access Points (APs), IP cameras, and IP phones. The addition of two Gigabit combo (copper or fiber) uplink ports means businesses can increase their network bandwidth via wired Gigabit speeds while offering redundancy so voice and surveillance data are transferred reliably. With 16 10/100 PoE ports, the switch can connect to other Ethernet devices like computers, printers, and Network Attached Storage (NAS) to fit into any type of network application. Each PoE port can supply up to 30 watts, with a total PoE budget of 247 watts, allowing users to maximize the number of attached IEEE 802.3af/at-compliant devices. PoE is especially suitable for devices that are far from power outlets or when users want to minimize the clutter of extra cables - as power is supplied via the Ethernet cables themselves. Two useful features can be enabled/disabled using DIP switches on the front panel: - For strengthened security measures, Port Isolation prevents port-to-port communication, and only allows ports 1-16 to communicate with uplink ports 17 and 18. This is helpful for surveillance networks that want to isolate the camera communication with the switch. - When Port Extension is enabled, the switch facilitates long-range power delivery by enhancing ports 1 through 8 to supply power to devices up to 250m away at 10 Mbps.
