Shielded Cat6 is required for connection between an outdoor POE device and POE Injector. This is to protect against Electrostatic Discharge Damage (ESD). JEFA Tech Outdoor Shielded Cat6 features a Copper Clad Steel ESD Drain Wire and Shielded Metal RJ-45 connectors with a lug for the ground wire. The additional shielding also provides a faster more stable connection that is resistance to external RF energy in the enviornment. The conductors are 23AWG Solid Copper. At PE Crosstalk Separator separates the individual twisted pairs inside the cable jacket.
