This capacitive soil moisture sensor is different from the majority of resistive sensors on the market, and uses the principle of capacitive induction to detect soil moisture. Avoiding the problem of corrosion in resistive sensors greatly extends their service life.
The sensor is equipped with a built-in voltage regulator chip, which supports a wide voltage working environment of 3.3-5.5V. Even on a 3.3V main control board, it can work normally. Micro PCs like Raspberry Pi only require an external ADC (analog-to-digital signal) conversion module to work.
