JONGSUN 62mm CSGND8(0.9) 3-Stop ND filter is specially designed for landscape photographers. It's made from S-Pro high quality optical glass (SCHOTT B270). Color soft graduated neutral density filter adopt nano double-sided gradual 18-layer multi-coating (16 layer double sided anti-reflection、2 layer waterproof and oil resistant nano coating.), this means ultra violet to near-infrared light can pass through evenly, ensuring a perfectly neutral effect.This optical Nano coating is also anti-glaring and anti-reflective, alleviating solar glare.
The 62mm graduated neutral density filters are used if you want to balance light intensity between two areas within a scene. This is important outdoors to allow more sky detail while properly exposing the foreground. Exposing for the foreground will produce a washed-out, over-exposed sky, exposing for the sky will leave the foreground dark, underexposed.
