How to replace rechargeable batteries:
When a Welch Allyn 3.6-volt rechargeable battery will no longer accept a charge, replace as follows:
Install with the negative end against the insulator cap.
1.Unscrew bottom cap.
2.Shake out old battery.
3.Insert replacement battery "bottom" side up.
4.Screw bottom cap back into place. Ensure the plastic cap is securely attached to the bottom cap. If the insulator is missing or broken, contact Welch Allyn for a new bottom cap.
