This Parco Scientific PBS-400 compound microscope has a 45° inclined dual viewing head that reduces neck and eye strain. It features a reverse nosepiece to facilitate easy slide changes. An iris diaphragm controls the amount of light illuminating the specimen. Brightfield LED illumination illuminates the specimen from below, making the specimen appear bright, but much darker than the bright background. This allows the darker specimen to be contrasted by the surrounding bright viewing field.
