Hexagrowth Cholla Wood is the dried husk of the Cholla cactus. Cholla wood is a product from the plant Staghorn found in Mexico and USA. It's pronounced “choy-ah.” When the cacti die and dry out, the wood remains. No live cactus are cut for our cholla wood. These are assorted 6" x 1” Driftwood, perfect for Freshwater Shrimp, Crabs, Aquariums and Hermit Crab Terrariums. Cholla wood is a softwood and will eventually break down in the aquarium. This can take many months and up to 2 years depending on size and thickness.
