  • - This soft shackle is made of 7/16" diam. Amsteel Dyneema (UHMPE) rope, protected with industrial quality nylon chafe guard sleeve complying MSHA norms . Its structure uses the combined strength of 4 single 7/16" lines (each one has 19,300 lbs strength) making the shackle strength 44,390 lbs.; 230% of a single 7/16" line.
  • - Made in the USA - Made of genuine Dyneema ropes by Samson Rope Technologies. Amsteel Dyneema is a non-rotational, Samthane coated, 12-strand single braid that yields high strength and low stretch; equivalent to steel wire rope with 1/7th the weight. In addition, the product is flexible, and resists flex-fatigue and abrasion. This soft shackle will also float in water.
  • - Proven Strength figures – Unlike cheaper, no name, mostly far-east imported lines in the market, Samson ropes has officially declared reliable strength values. 7/16" diam. A single Amsteel line (x4 used on this shackle) has a strength of 19,300 lbs. For details see the descriptions below.

7/16" Samson Amsteel Dyneema line: Dyneema SK-78 (UHMPE) 12-strands, specific gravity= 0.97 (floats), water absorption= zero, abrasion and chemicals resistance= excellent, strength of a 7/16” single line = 19,300 lbs. Combined strength of the shackle = 44,390 lbs. (4x 19,300 reduced to 2.3 x because of the knot linkage) Tuff Weave Nylon 6 sleeve: Complies 033 MSHA IC 359/01 standarts; no damage after 50,000 test cycles, operating temps: -49°F to 248°F, melting temp: 410°F, resists common chemicals, gasoline, salt & solvents, protects from UV damage.
