Description
As teachers of young students, you know that before emergent readers can begin to sound out words, they need to firmly grasp the sound each letter makes within a word. The EZread Sound Box Kit is a helpful tool for students at this stage of development to help them learn how to map sound patterns. In this interactive activity, students view leveled words represented on Picture-Word Cards and, based on the number of sounds they hear, slide Plastic Chips into the appropriate number of boxes on a Work Mat. The 146, self-checking Picture-Word Cards are color-coded into 1- 2-, 3-, and 4-phoneme groups and file neatly behind matching number cards in the included sturdy Storage Box. The kit includes an Activity Card with suggestions for use.
