Necktie displays one of the most famous paintings in modern history, "The Scream" painted by the famous Norwegian painter, Edvard Munch, in 1893. On the origin of the painting, according to Munch, he was outdoors walking at sunset, when he 'heard the enormous, infinite scream of nature'. The painting's agonized face is widely identified with the angst of the modern person (as Munch himself suffered mental psychoses and breakdowns) and is widely known throughout the world today.
