Pleasantino presents Shiv Parivar (Lord Shiva Family) statue an artwork of wood marquetry. Made of more than 45 individual solid wooden parts, affixed on multiple layers of wood to give a 3D look. Each small part is carved out of the Padauk wood, Maple Wood and Boxwood and then hand-assembled in a particular order to make a complete figurine.
Lord Shiva is worshiped in India and is a part of the trinity along with Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu. He is the destroyer of evil. He represents purity and truth. Along with his consort Goddess Parvati, he represents the divine union of consciousness and energy. In this picture, we can see Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, and their sons Kartikeya and Ganesha.
It is considered very auspicious to worship Lord Ganesha before starting any new work. He is said to remove all the obstacles and bring success to those who worship him
