【TIPS】
How to produce gold flakes from gold leaf in an easy way:
1. You will need gold leaf sheets, a clean and smooth surface, a soft brush or a pair of tweezers, and a container to collect the gold flakes.
2. Choose a clean and well-lit area to work in. Avoid drafts or windy environments that could blow away the delicate gold leaf.
3. Carefully unfold a sheet of gold leaf and lay it flat on the clean surface. Slowly and delicately peel back the top tissue layer, exposing the gold leaf underneath.
4. Using a soft brush or a pair of tweezers, gently lift a portion of the exposed gold leaf. Be careful not to apply too much pressure to avoid tearing the gold leaf. Allow the gold leaf to fall freely onto the clean surface.
5. Due to its fragile nature, the gold leaf will break apart into smaller flakes as it descends. Use the brush or tweezers to carefully collect the gold flakes and transfer them into a container.
6. Repeat the process with additional gold leaf sheets until you have collected the desired amount of gold flakes. Once you have collected the gold flakes, store them in a clean, airtight container to prevent oxidation or loss of luster. You can use the gold flakes for various decorative purposes or crafts.
