This easy to use Maple Tapping kit uses durable PVC sap sack holders along with Sap Meister Stainless Steel tree taps (spiles). The kit includes a 5/16" high speed steel drill bit and our "Quick Start Guide to Maple Tapping and Syrup Making" booklet.
This type of sack holder is completely enclosed except for the keyhole that slips over the tap.
This kit uses the double cable tie (bag tie) method for a cleaner appearance, and to reduce the chance a bag could slip off the hanger.
The slot in the holder is a modified keyhole shape that keeps the bag securely attached to the tree, but will release when lifted and rotated.
